Kalihiwai Falls Hike
Ascend “Green Hill” and witness breathtaking mountain and ocean views on the pristine and private Princeville Ranch. Enjoy learning about Kauai’s history flora and fauna as you hike the lowland rainforest then descend a ten foot rock wall to the spectacular Kalihiwai Falls! Have it all to yourselves for swimming and playing, then relax with a delicious picnic. Continue up valley alongside several streams, while you soak up the sights and scents of a tropical paradise. Hiking time is three hours and hiking distance is approximately four miles. Rated moderately strenuous. Includes rough hewn stairs, multiple stream crossings and a ten-foot rock wall descent.
Experienced Guides are CPR and First Aid certified and well educated on Hawaii’s history, flora and fauna. Guides carry cell phones and First Aid kits.
Restrictions: 5yrs and older, in good physical condition. Children age 5 to 15 must be accompanied on tour by an adult who is at least 18yrs old. Children age 16-17 may tour without an adult, but must have a parent sign a liability waiver at check-in.
Includes: Use of backpack, delicious picnic (grilled chicken breast or veggie wrap, potato chips, cookie).
What to Bring: Light, comfortable clothing with swimsuit underneath, hiking boots, sneakers or trail shoes, drinking water (32 oz per person), towel, sunscreen and hat, mosquito repellent and rain poncho.
